Having joined the industry in 1981 Red spent his first 5 years with a National broker before leaving to set up his own IFA partnership. Eighteen years later and with extensive experience in the Corporate Pensions market Red joined Vale in 2004. Whilst looking after his own clients Red also looks after the bulk of the Group Pension Schemes that Vale administer. In recent years this has involved the establishment or a number of group money purchase schemes for companies closing their final salary schemes and the coordinating of Vale's employee benefit services, providing 'in-situ' financial advice to pension scheme members.

Red has always held the belief that being a good listener rather than a good talker is the key to success when it comes to making sound financial plans for his clients. As he has worked with many of his clients for over 20 years it is a philosophy that clearly works.

Married with two teenage children, Red lives near Warrington in Cheshire, and when not working he gets on his bike. Most dry weekends he can be found navigating the country lanes of Cheshire, he says it 'clears the mind and narrows the waist'. He is always willing to share a joke from his extensive catalogue if the audience is willing.
