After such positive market movements over the past few months we came crashing back down to earth with losses across the board!

The sector with the lowest losses was the Sterling Corporate Bonds with a loss of just 0.16%, so it is the winner of the Sector of the Month for April 2012.

Although there were a few sectors showing losses, such as Global Emerging Markets and Specialist the majority of sectors reflected an increasing confidence in the markets with positive returns.

It was another good month’s performance with all sectors in profit.

The “Sector of the Month” award goes to the UK All Share sector with an increase of more than 6% since last month.  The last time that the UK All Share sector won the award was May 2011.

A good month all round with good increases across the board.

The “Sector of the Month” award goes to the Specialist sector with an increase of more than 10% since last month. This is the second time that the Specialist sector has won the award.

Quite surprisingly there were a few sectors showing profits for December 2011 with the Sterling Corporate Bond sector winning sector of the month.

Sector of the year also goes to the Sterling Corporate Bond sector as one of the few sectors to show a profit over the 12 months to the end of December 2011
