Vale was formed in 1993 by Geoff Hartley and Kevin Chrimes who both had extensive experience gained from previous positions at a national insurance company. Since then Vale has continued to establish itself as an Independent Financial Advisor firm that provides excellent service to it's clients. Testament to this is how Vale has continued to grow over the years through word of mouth, resulting in client referrals from happy customers. Vale have also expanded through the acquisition of clients from retiring Independent Financial Advisors, relationships with professionals such as accountant and solicitor practices, and through new advisors joining Vale with clients of their own. Based in the centre of Altrincham, Vale has nine Independent Financial Advisors, all of whom have their own specialities and skills that combined ensure Vale remains a business with strong foundations and a multitude of experience to offer its individual and business clients.
Geoff is the Managing Director of Vale. His career in Financial Services spans over 35 years and prior to establishing Vale he held several managerial positions in one of the world’s largest financial services companies. Geoff’s responsibilities involve ensuring the business remains profitable and compliant. He also continues to provide advisory service to his clients, however most meetings with Geoff also include his daughter, Rebecca.
Continuity of the business is important and one of Geoff's key roles is to ensure the business remains in a strong position as he and others retire in the future.
Geoff lives in Altrincham with his wife and two daughters. His eldest daughter, Rebecca, joined Vale following her graduation from Sheffield University as part of the long term plan to ensure that Vale is able to provide continuity to all of our clients going forward. Geoff's other daughter, Victoria, also provides a vital role to Geoff, however her skills are required whenever Geoff needs his hair cutting. He is a keen golfer and while he might not be the best at his chosen sport he always looks the part.
Rebecca graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2011, with BA Hons in Business and Financial Management. Following this she joined Vale and qualified as an Independent Financial Adviser in 2013.
Since joining Vale, Rebecca has been heavily involved with Group Pension Schemes and held a key role on Vale’s Advisor Support Team. Rebecca enjoys spending her free time with family and friends.
Satnam has worked in Financial Services since 1998 and has been an Independent Financial Advisor since 2000. Working for a National firm of Advisors over the past 11 years he provided advice to NHS Doctors, as well as personal clients who required holistic financial advice. He moved to Vale in November 2016, and is looking forward to carrying on working as an Independent Adviser to ensure clients continue to receive comprehensive and holistic advice at Vale.
Satnam firmly believes that providing an on-going advisory service to his clients is equally important as the initial advice he gives. He ensures that his clients needs are met on an ongoing basis by putting in place an agreed service strategy which is fully committed to thus ensuring his client’s changing priorities and needs as they go from working to retirement are discussed and planned for by regular meetings and reviews in person and by regular email/telephone contact.
He is married and has two children. Satnam likes travelling with the family to unwind and the US being a particular favourite destination. Keeping fit and doing the odd half marathon when time allows is a nice challenge and watching re runs of “ Frasier” also a good way to unwind.

Stephen joined the industry in 2010, starting as a mortgage adviser in Surrey, to a Chartered Member of the London institute of Banking and Finance following the completion of the chartered level Advanced Diploma for Financial Advice in January 2017.
Stephen is passionate about people and believes that no two people will ever have the same circumstances or reasons for doing what they do. He therefore spends his time getting to know his clients as people to ensure that he can fully encapsulate their needs, goals and aspirations in to the comprehensive financial plans that he creates for all of his clients.
Hailing from Middlesbrough, Stephen is a lifelong fan of Middlesbrough FC, though he hasn’t had chance to see a game live for quite some time. Stephen is also a keen, but distinctly average golfer and a lover of rock music. During the majority of Stephen’s free time, he can usually be found spending time with his wife and young daughter.
